Western Parkland City Authority

The Western Parkland City Authority’s goal is to imagine a city beyond anything that has ever been built, and then build it. An aerotropolis is a city built around an airport, and our Western Sydney Aerotropolis will take advantage of the 24/7 Western Sydney International Airport, which is expected to open in 2026 at Badgerys Creek. The Aerotropolis will provide career opportunities in next generation industries, research and education, with an industry-led national skills and training ecosystem for lifelong learning. It will include a new hub for advanced manufacturing, aerospace and defence industries; an agribusiness precinct for high tech food production and pharma; and freight and logistics connecting Western Sydney to regional NSW and the world. Our aim is to deliver 200,000 high value, sustainable jobs for Western Sydney, and great places to live, work, learn and relax. The Western Parkland City Authority will help design and deliver the Aerotropolis, and work with government, business and the education partners to support the growth of the Western Parkland City which covers the Blue Mountains, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Hawkesbury, Liverpool, Penrith and Wollondilly local government areas.
