- Conditions of Participation
The purpose of these Conditions of Participation is to ensure the enjoyment and safety of all participants at Resources for Courses Pty Ltd’s Australian Virtual Careers Expo.
You acknowledge and agree that attendance at the Australian Virtual Careers Expo (Expo) is subject to compliance with these Conditions of Participation.
1. Ticketing and Refunds
1.1 Online ticket sales are final and no refunds or exchanges will be provided once you have purchased your ticket, except as required under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
1.2 Online tickets may not be re-sold (unless with the consent of the Event Organiser) or duplicated. Unauthorised re-sale or duplication of online tickets will be grounds for refusal of entry to the event.
1.3 In the event of cancellation of the event due to government restrictions or force majeure event, the Event Organiser will refund the cost of unused tickets. If a refund is made, the Event Organiser may to the extent permitted by law retain a fee for its reasonable expenses already incurred. If the event is cancelled, please contact the Event Organiser to apply for this refund.
1.4 The Event Organiser reserves the right to amend the dates for holding the Expo, to close the Expo or vary its hours, as is necessary or required by law, and to the extent permitted by law will not be liable for any loss to the participant arising from such a change.
2. Online Behaviour
2.1 Anti-social or offensive language or behaviour towards participants or exhibitors, or any illegal activity, will not be tolerated at the Expo.
2.2 Appropriate visual backgrounds must be used in online interactions with any participants and exhibitors.
2.3 The participant must not misrepresent (by act or omission) the participant’s identity, credentials, affiliations or experience, or impersonate any person or entity.
2.4 Canvassing of participants or exhibitors at the Expo is prohibited.
2.5 The participant must not stalk, threaten, or otherwise harass any person or organisation at the Expo.
2.6 Any breach of the conditions set out above, or refusal to comply with the Event Organiser’s directives will result in losing access to the Expo without entitlement to a refund.
3. Limited of Liability
3.1 The Event Organiser will use reasonable efforts to provide access to the Expo uninterrupted. The Event Organiser will not be held liable if for any reason the Expo is unable to be delivered due to, without limitation, hacking or other cybercrime, the technical failure of the Event Organiser’s online hosting service or failure of any other technology or infrastructure used to deliver the Expo.
3.2 Except due to the Event Organiser’s negligence or as expressly provided in these conditions, the Event Organiser will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered by participants in connection with the Expo.
3.3 In the event that any additional provisions are implied into these terms and conditions by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or any other law or regulation in force throughout Australia from time to time, to the extent permitted by law, the Event Organiser’s liability will be limited to the remedies required of the Event Organiser under the applicable law or regulation.
4. Privacy and Other
4.2 If any part of these Conditions of Participation is held to be unenforceable or invalid, then to the extent possible, the part will be severed from the remaining conditions, which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
4.3 These Conditions of Participation are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of the state of Victoria, Australia.
4.4 The Event Organiser reserves the right to modify or change these Conditions of Participation without notice.
